Useless arms

The background came from this fellow—The Fractal Bargain Bin. Some of his stuff is astoundingly beautiful and reminds me why I so despise 98% of abstract art.

Re: Dinostories: Put ’em up

Just because one doesn’t like something doesn’t mean it’s misunderstood. Just because someone likes something doesn’t mean it has an objective value at all or is necessarily even intellectually or philosophically harmless. The only joke on humanity bigger than religion is so-called artists like Pollock. At least the church had the decency to kill a few million bodies along with the souls they crushed.

The reason Geier’s stuff is so awesome is the detail, natural forms, organic ephemera, layered light; the sheer force of math. While superficially it has similarities to some abstract art, the fractals tell, revealing self-organization; purpose. Most abstract art reveals only a clumsy, damaged psychology seeking the most unrefined expression possible so as not to show any ugliness in too undeniable a focus.

Re: Dinostories: Put ’em up

I did show it. I was being polite and kind but I’m out of patience for your sideways insults and sexual remarks. Not responding to you for months and deleting every comment you made on my other site was an additional clue that I took one of your many huffy “goodbyes” seriously.

When you started writing to my family and friends without asking permission I should have been more direct about breaking any perceived ties. Better late than never.

I finally got around to writing the code to block users here. If you can’t comment with civility and respect, I’ll block you just like other sites have had to do.
