That article, I think, would be useful for anyone interested in the distinctions between propertarian and libertarian.

:) Absent of coercion I support one’s right to enter into even unreasonable contracts, like indentured servitude, so if you’re in a planned community, you better get with the plan. But Jesus… the inverted flag is entirely appropriate and quite patriotic; plus I just hate realty people. I do also see this sort of thing as a slippery slope toward arguing that merely being born on US soil is a contractual agreement to orally service George, Bill, and whomever follows, on a daily basis.

In any case, have I told you I like you publicly? Which is to say, don’t talk to me in private!

That slippery slope concern seems eminently reasonable to me and I do follow you on the planned community thing, much as I loathe the concept of them itself. No one dragooned them into it and why on earth would anyone want to live in a place like that! It's like deliberately choosing to be Maggie Thatcher. I'm not sure about the broadness of acceptable contracts, given power disparities as they exist, but the caveat on coercion takes up a lot of slack there for me. Our enemies in realty, now there's the important matter. It's a short step from that occupation to militant squirrel-hugging.
