A dead beetle.

Even they’re dead because the fuckwad neighbors are pumping toxins into the watershed so they can have a pretty lawn which I’ve never seen them use once in six years.

It is pretty. A swath of ground which can’t absorb any rain and is useless to most of the native life, and is never even used by the humans tending it is just sad and vain.
