An analogy that might help explain to the tech manager in a hurry

Sunday, 20 September 2009

A lot of tech managers are in a hurry to do things. When told something needs to be done differently to be right, they often remark: We don’t have the time or the resources. Just do it with what we’ve got.

Well, this is a pragmatic attitude. You can wash a car with sandpaper, open a can of soup with a hammer, or feed a baby ice cream and spiders if it’s all you’ve got.

Congratulations on becoming a problem solver.
