Advice from a father figure

When I was 17 and talking about moving out West a man I deeply respected told me to be very careful. That I would be amazed what people find themselves doing for money.
At the time I thought he meant selling drugs. A few years later I wondered if maybe he’d meant gay prostitution. Today I realize he must have been talking about working for Microsoft.

I rarely experience any desire to help Microsoft, but that's a pretty good hiring pitch for them. Pound for pound and, uh, inch for inch, working for them is less degrading than picking up Johns.
Although there are Johns who only want a little sissy-maid training and forced encopresis. So any pitch they make should come with a disclaimer.
