Dear professional translators of the world,
Friday, 22 October 2010
I was just watching a documentary shot in Italy. I pick this example but with my pidgin Italian, limited French vocabulary, spots of Spanish and Korean, I have seen this far too many times. One of the Italians said something was deleterio. The subtitles translated it as “harmful.” Jesus Fuckbunnies, you chronic short-sellers. It translates as “deleterious.” You know that.
Why is everyone pushing America into the stupid hole with such abandon?

Re: Dear professional translators of the world,
English subtitles benefit the entire world, not just Americans, so it's probably better to target a lower common denominator? Just my 2 paise.
